Being an oldschool 90's RC racer I am now looking at getting back into the sport. I sold off all my rc stuff when I was 16 and wanted a car (14 years ago! Ouch!). I want to get back into it and would like to possible start this winter. Are there any indoor Dirt tracks anywhere near by? (I am in Port Colborne). I dont mind driving an hour or so for a good indoor track. Any help is appreciated.
There is no indoor offroad iin ontario anymore. There is a track in ohio i think thats the nears place only indoor racing in ontario is carpet racing and the closes place would be at the merrition center in st catherines. If you need more info on the indoor carpet racing let me know
nxghost I think i went to that school, do i know you? Anyway nitro off-road has taken over. Do yourself a favour and get an 1/8 scale or MT for next year. Lot's of tracks and a lot of great driver's in the area.
I just got off the phone with one of my old time R/C racing buddies HighTower and he also informed me that Monster truck Nitro is the way to go! Its sad because I did buy a Savaga 25 last year but sold it due to having no-one else to race. i didn't know there was such a local place to go. I will likely be looking for another Monster truck to race come summer. I will have to see what the latest and greatest is.
Holy, you know Hightower, you must be old school. LOL MT is a great class and alot of fun and not as serious as those 1/8 buggy drivers, matt
Im am not real old (30 yrs old) but did start racing at 12yrs old. I raced with Hightower and his son Mike about 13 yrs ago (First at the Welland Fairgrounds then Madmax). Back then it was all electric. My last Car was an RC10T. At that time stadium trucks just got popular. I stopped racing when I got interested modifying in real cars! LOL. Now that I am bored of real cars I want some more R/C action. I am looking at the MT class. Lots of good (expensive) trucks to choose from. The Revo and Losi LST look real nice...........
