I think you will start seeing longer qualifers and main in a few years ,thats the only advantage i can see for these batteries(run time)

Yup, pretty soon we'll be doing 10min quals and 20 min mains

So when is brushless going to become legal, never tried it but aparrently very fast, long run times and no maintenance, so what is bad about them?

Actually I was wrong, my Duratrax ICE goes up to 9000 mah, now that's alot, but I think we'll see LIPO batteries become mor popular in the next year or so. There are already chargers out there for LIPO batt's and LRP's Quantum Competition 3 ESC already incorporates a mode for NIMH and LIPO batt's...maybe a hint of things to come. When you think about it, wouldn't be nice to only have to charge a batt once and then run it all day, I can't wait for LIPO's to hit the market!!
